Hi, I'm Don Kennedy,
the artistic force behind Cosmic Copper. It's important to me that I am breathing new life into the vanishing art of coppersmithing. I've been at this now for 12 years and I've developed my own style. I hope you like it.
I live in Reno, Nevada and I find inspiration in the beauty of the mountains, the expansive solitude of the basins, the history and craft hidden in mining remains, and the art traditions of native culture of this great state.

Don Kennedy's work is a joy to behold. It is tactile, beautiful and it keeps the flame lit under the vanishing art of coppersmithing.
Your work speaks for itself and I know because I have so much of it. I've enjoyed every piece I have and I want others to share in that experience.
A few years ago, I was looking for a one of a kind piece of yard art. I wanted something that would make a statement and compliment my whimsical style.
I found the perfect piece. Don Kennedy at Cosmic Copper had created a real fire breathing dragon!!! I knew right away Babyzilla was the piece I had been looking for.
We are still adding to our copper animal family. Right now Tina the Tortoise and Oscar the Crab keep Babyzilla company in our yard. I enjoy them every single day.
I know that our copper animal family will continue to grow, as I am in love with Don’s art.
